Memorial Service Announcement and
Statement of the Tri-Faith Initiative on the Tree of Life Synagogue Tragedy in Pittsburgh
We know many of you are in stages of shock and pain and are looking for ways to speak and act in the face of this unspeakable tragedy.
We are following the lead and preferences of our mourning brothers and sisters in the Jewish community and offering support in such a way so as to show a unified community response.
Beth El Synagogue (from the conservative denominational tradition (USCJ) of Judaism that is the same as that of the Tree of Life synagogue) will be hosting a memorial service/vigil at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 29 at Beth El Synagogue, 14506 California Street, Omaha, NE 68154. We are cooperating with them in this effort and welcome your solidarity. Here is a Facebook event link.

BISAC: Religion / Christian Rituals & Practice / Worship & Liturgy
Orthros is often called Matins after the office it most nearly corresponds to in Western Christian churches. Orthros is normally held just before the beginning of the Divine Liturgy on Sunday and feast day mornings. In many parishes Orthros is held only on Sundays and feast days; in monasteries daily.
