Thich Nhat Hanh has said that we should create a formless practice, one in which the language and structure of the practice do not create unnecessary boundaries between us and other religious traditions and world views. We seek in our practice and dialogue to build beautiful bridges between the spiritual traditions of our ancestors (be it Christian, Jewish, Moslem, Buddhist, Hindu …) and the wonderful teachings of the Buddha, which are the focus of our practice. We are encouraged to go back to our religious and spiritual roots to find and embrace the nourishing and healing elements that are present there.
